The backing is a textured medium pink cotton or chintz. There are 3 or very light stains on the front (some pictured). The quilting is very nicely done with small straight stitches at about 8 stitches per inch. The binding is the pink calico seen on the front of the quilt and is hand sewn. The binding has 4 frayed areas at about the same spot on each side (indicating that perhaps the quilt was folded).
The batting is a light to medium weight cotton. The quilt measures 73" X 86-1/2".I have not washed this quilt. Some quilts that I sell, I have cleaned using a non-chlorine detergent or cleaned in such a way to not affect the overall integrity of the piece. I will disclose whether I have cleaned the item or not. All of my listings for items that are fabric have been checked for stains, tears, wear, etc. Keeping in mind that most of these pieces are old. I have tried to describe any issues to the best of my ability. What may seem insignificant to me may be of utmost importance to you so please ask questions! I try to respond in a timely manner.
