Despite its small size (46" X 57"), it still contains 1,794 patches. The top contains fabrics from the late 1800's through the early 1900's.There are a couple of fabrics in the lavender and pink colors that a very loose weave cotton. The top appears to be unwashed. The edges of the blocks are not raveling. The fabrics are bright and crisp. The top is entirely hand sewn at 6 to 7 stitches per inch. Some quilts that I sell, I have cleaned using a non-chlorine detergent or cleaned in such a way to not affect the overall integrity of the piece. I will disclose whether I have cleaned the item or not. All of my listings for items that are fabric have been checked for stains, tears, wear, etc.
