Antique Tobacco Large American Card Quilt Hand Sewn 60 Early 1900
This is early 1900 or earlier silk hand sewn tobacco card silk quilt 33''x38''with a cotton backing. There are 60 tobacco card silks with 13 extra silks plus flags. This is all hand sewn it has been stored inside out so very nice and clean. It does has a small tape mark near the center which can be removed very carefully. The silks are vibrant the photos does not do it justice. Americans mid western, dogs, cats, bunny , horse. It does have a bunny at the edge with a split it comes with extra unused bunnies for repair but the split is hard to see look at the photo i have on. There are extras of 11- women, 3- cats, 2- dogs, 3- cows, 2- horses, 3- bunny plus nine flags Russia, Sweden , Beligum , Egypt, Denmark, Austria.
This is in great shape the inside has been folded up to keep it nice and clean the other side is tiny flower cotton which has some line marks , see photo, but the inside was keep very clean. This can be rolled flat to frame it would make a great piece of art. There are 24 native Indians , 18 bathing beauty women, 3 bunnies, 7 dogs, 3 cats, 3 cows, 2 horses on the quilt.
