Handmade double wedding ring quilt featuring depression era feed sack. The background fabric is off white natural muslin. The quilt appears to be machine stitched. It is hand quilted around each ring approx.
It is also hand tied in the center of each block. The back side is white muslin. 67" x 72" which is a rough guesstimate as to where the corners end since the edging is all scalloped. Full size but please measure your bed to be sure this will fit. Would also make a nice wall display quilt. The scalloped edge is finished with white bias tape expertly hand stitched. In the third to last photo you can see the contrast of the off white muslin with the white bias tape edge. There is one 3 spot which would be part of the bed overhang where the muslin is slightly discolored. This is shown in the last photo.
Otherwise I did not find any stains or holes. Depression era quilts were made with left over scraps and although this quilt is 95% feed sack, I did find one fabric that is not feed sack.
It is shiny probably from an antique dress and it is featured in approx 12 tiny squares (blue shown in second to last photo). This quilt is dense but fairly thin, and probably has one layer of cotton batting. The diameter of each ring is approx. This beautiful quilt did not appear to have been used much. I hand washed it and lined dried it so it will come to you fresh and clean stored in plastic.
